It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melvin L. Halterman (Cascade, Maryland), born in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, who passed away on July 14, 2019, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Della P. Halterman Byers (See) and Percy G. Byers, Sr.; and his siblings, Delores Patterson and Albert Halterman, Jr.. He is survived by: his spouse EvaMarie "Trudy" Halterman (Helser); his brother Construction; his children, Mica Piper of Waynesboro and Lisa Martin of Prairie Village, KS; his grandchildren, Kira Bumbaugh, Kyla Piper, Ethan Taylor and Alex Taylor; and his siblings, Percy G. Byers, Jr. of Falling Waters, WV, Junia Warthen of Emmitsburg, MD and Nancy Paxton of Chambersburg, PA. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
