He was predeceased by: his parents, Reno K. Smith and Stella M. Smith (Wolf); his children, Shirley Smith and Charles Smith; and his siblings, Delbert Smith and Martha Hilton.
He is survived by: his wife Jane B. Smith (Brown); his children, Gary L. Smith (Darlene) of Waynesboro, PA, Wayne A. Smith (Anita) of Maugansville, MD and Cindy L. Smith of Cascade; and his sisters, Betty E. Mentzer of Mont Alto, PA, Mary S. Stottlemyer of Waynesboro and Connie L. Smith of Cascade. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 2 two great-great-grandchildren.
