He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Blount Sr. and Estella Robinson; and his sisters, Lillie Blount and Janie Ann Atkinson. He is survived by: his daughter Stephanie Birch; his grandchildren, Xavier and Zoe; his brothers, Leonard (Pamela Blount) and Theodore Blount; his niece June Bennett; and his close friend Frank Mahogany.
At the start of the Covid pandemic, Robert was instrumental in operating the food pantry warehouse, as well as helping to clean and prepare the church for members according to CDC COVID guidelines.
