He is survived by: his wife Violet V Garland; and his children, Douglas Garland (Eva), Kirby Garland Jr. Amanda Johnson (Dwayne), Denise Williams (Robbie) and Keith Wimbush (Dana). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
