It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rowena De Shields (Cambridge, Maryland), who passed away on December 14, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, may Rowena De find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may her legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John L. De Shields and Cornelia Burke De Shields. She is survived by: her brother Col. William A. De Shields of Easton; and her great-nephew Drs. She is also survived by seven great-nieces and two great-nephews.
Viewing will be held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Henry Funeral Home (510 Washington St, Cambridge, MD 21613). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to Talbot Hospice Foundation in Easton, Maryland.
