It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Norma Lee Burton of Cambridge, Maryland, who passed away on November 8, 2022, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Norma Lee Burton to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lena Weber and Rudolph Grupe (Ralph); her husband Edward Cluff Burton, Jr.; her grandson Ross Edward McDaniel; her son-in-law Jerry Sailer; and her sisters, Helen Grupe Kincaid, Doris Grupe Favinger and Carolyn Grupe Marine.
She is survived by: her daughters, Constance "Connie" Burton (Easton) of Cambridge, Dr. Catherine "Cassie" Burton of Cambridge and Karen Burton McDaniel of Durham, NC.; her grandson Matthew Cluff McDaniel of Durham, NC; her great grandchildren, Savannah McDaniel and Turner McDaniel; her friend Dr. Don Harmon; and her nieces and nephews, Harriet Kincaid Leap, Pat Favinger Parks, JoAnn Marine King, Joe Kincaid, Susan Kincaid Coleca, Dennis Marine, Melinda Favinger Ewing and Cynthia Burton Phillips.
Norma was also lovingly cared for by her daughter Connie, who moved to Cambridge during the pandemic, and her current and former caregivers and friends, Mary Griffin, India Thomas and Sarah Jackson.
