She was predeceased by: her parents, Levi B. Phillips and Cora Mae Schaffer Phillips; her son Mark Brad Hess; and her sister Cora Lee Mowbray. She is survived by: her son J. Erik Hess (Carol) of Knoxville, TN; her granddaughters, Nina and Gretchen; and her sister Priscilla Khweis of Arizona.
