He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Oscar Tilghman Sr. and Beulah Tilghman Dobson; his children, Johnny Wilson Tilghman Jr. Dover (Patricia) of Delaware, Johnette Travers Fruitland, MD (Gary Sr.), Juavanda Tilghman Cambridge, MD, Tywonda Tilghman Cambridge, Benjamin and Dontray Cornish Cambridge MD; his son-in-law Carroll Henry Sr. Salisbury, MD; his nephew Ganes Brooks Jr. (Man); his close friend Christy Vineyard; his siblings, Helen Lee Rodgers, Airie Carter, Oscar "Bow Wow" Tilghman Jr., Edward Morgan Tilghman, Lillian Robinson, Myrtle Brooks, Jerome "Bear" Tilghman Sr. and Corinthian Tilghman; his daughter Freida Henry; his grandson Gary "Pee Jay" Travers Jr.; and his nephew Derrick Brooks. He was also cherished by other nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
