He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse B. Hurley, Jr. and Joan "Buttercup" Murphy Hurley; his daughter Jessica Anne Hurley; and his brother Jay L. Hurley. He is survived by: his son Jeffery O. Hurley, Jr. (Sarah) of Cambridge; his grandchildren, Joshua Bauguess, Kayla, Noah Bauguess and Deanna; his brother Jed M. Hurley, Sr. (Brenda) of Cambridge; his nephew Jed "J. R." Hurley, Jr. (Abbie); his niece Amanda Jo Hurley Hallowell (Logan); his great-nieces, Abriella Hallowell, Leilani Hallowell and Jed M. Hurley III; his great-nephew Maddie Hurley; and his godchildren, Brandon Hall, Moore and Maddie Fleming.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Rescue Fire Company (8 Washington St, Cambridge, MD 21613). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the International Tow and Recovery Museum Building Fund in memory of Jeffery O. Hurley, Sr., 3315 Board Street, Chattanooga, TN 37408, Rescue Fire Company, and the Rescue Fire Company Train Garden.
