He was predeceased by: his parents, James Wilby Slacum Jr. and Jean Slacum; and his daughter Rhonda Amendt. He is survived by: his wife Constance "Connie" Carmichael Slacum; his children, Theresa "Terry" Ann Johnson (Dave) of Delmar, MD and James "Jay" Wilby Slacum IV of Sumter, SC; his sister Phyllis Anne Kramer of Pembrooke Pines, FL; and his son-in-law Scott Amendt (Stormi) of Farmville. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
