He was predeceased by: his father Harvey Thomas; his former wife Betty Sue Weddle; his wife Dorothy J. Stern Thompson; his children, Toni Malick (Mike Malick), Michael Thomas and Theodore Thomas; and his great grandchild James Charles Thomas.
He is survived by: his son Timothy Thomas (Patricia) of Preston; his stepchildren, Melanie Crosley (Tim), Melissa Sterling (Dan) of Mardela Springs and Craig Thompson (Terri) of Mardela Springs; his great grandchild Tina Russell; his caregiver Tana Cannon; and his sister Shirley Foxwell of Cambridge. He is also survived by several grandchildren, step grandchildren.
