With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James J. Middleton of Cambridge, Maryland, born in Royal Oak, Michigan, who passed away on February 3, 2023 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James C. Middleton and Anna Schuenemann Middleton; his former wife Frances Turner; and his siblings, Pete Middleton, Mel Middleton, Art Middleton, Hazel Hemming and Doris Reynolds.

He is survived by: his children, Wendy Rue (Woodrow W. Rue II) of Cambridge and Gary W. Middleton (Beverly); his grandchildren, Jamie O. Middleton (Cherie Davis) of Denton and Woodrow W. Rue III (Brittany) of Greensboro; his stepgrandchildren, Dana Gore and Richie Saunders; his fiancé Idabelle Neal; and his partner's daughter Tammy Neal. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Coastal Hospice Foundation, P.O. Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802.
