He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Roy (Dottie); his son Michael Roy Newton, MD; his stepchildren, Everette Carpenter Cambridge, MD (Shelly), Vernon Price Hurlock, MD, Sylvia Lewis Cambridge, MD (Maxine) and Colette; and his siblings-in-law, Helena Stanford of Royal Oak, MD, Mary Farmer of Berlin, MD, Marjorie Green of Cordova, MD, Martha Carpenter of Greensboro, MD and Elwood Carpenter Centerville, MD. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren.
