It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clara Sampson of Cambridge, Maryland, who passed away on July 15, 2023, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Estella Kane Cromwell and Reverend Ezekiel Cromwell; her husband Robert Henry Sampson; her nieces, Carolyn Cromwell and Jean Cornish; her nephew Leonidas Sampson; her siblings, Adelle, Winder, Millard, Kirby, James and William; her children, Robert Monroe Sampson and Constance Patricia Sampson; her grandchildren, Robert Monroe Nuton and Crickette Renee Sampson; and also Lucille Saunders.
She is survived by: her great-niece Joyette Cornish; her children, Carroll Frederick Sampson, Lawrence Cordell Sampson, Sharon Renee Sampson Ball, Cheryl Deanna Sampson and Melody Gizelle Sampson Butler (Rodney); her grandchildren, Michelle Bobette Sampson Lewis (Willie), Timothy Darryl Sampson, Robin Marie Sample, Lauren Brodie Sampson, Jonathan Sampson Ball (Danesha), Jennifer Ivory Ball Oliver, Robert Aaron Ball, Nicholas Elijah Butler, Joshua Alexander Butler and Kara Joy Butler; her nephews, Louis Cromwell and Carlton Cromwell; her niece Myrtle Bell; and her cousin Dorethea Kane Johnson. She is also survived by twelve great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.
