She was predeceased by: her parents, Emory Lewis and Dorothy Lewis Marvel; her former husband William Franklin Brooks, Sr.; her husband David Walter Nichols; and her son William F. "Frankie" Brooks, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Connie Ruark (Glenn) of Cambridge, Debby Spicer (Tommy) of Golden Hill and Stephen Brooks (Dianna) of Cambridge; her daughter-in-law Debbie Brooks; and her grandchildren, Tammy Shockley Lynndee (Tracy), Stephen Ryan Shockley (Hillary), Brooks Spicer Hanes (Matt), Frankie Brooks III (Mary), Jennifer Brooks Beath (Ernie), Aaron Ruark (Emily), Adam Ruark (Natalie), Heather Brooks (Dave), Stephen Brooks (Katie) and Tee Spicer (Marcia). She is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Thomas Funeral Home (700 Locust St, Cambridge, MD 21613). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
