He was predeceased by: his parents, John Augustus and Irene Nial of California; and his brothers, Dennis, Kevin and James Nial.
He is survived by: his wife Diana Nial of Clarkston; his son John Michael Nial of Lewiston; his grandson Jayden Allen Nial (Wash) of Vancouver; his siblings, Jack Nial and Mary Walsh (family: Tonya, Jayden) of Maryland; his siblings-in-law, Tom Doyle, Nola Nelson and Fran Doyle; his nieces, Angela Robinson and Brandy Doyle; and his nephew Daniel Doyle (Casey Doyle). He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
