He is survived by: his parent Mabel Weedon Henderson; his significant other Sharon Smothers; his son David Henderson, Jr.; his grandchildren, Eric Sewell, Shantae Carroll, Aliyah Weedon, Deaundre Weedon, Skylar Wilson and Joseph Smothers; his great grandchild Easton; his stepson Jonathan Smothers; his siblings, Roy Henderson Jr. of Burkittsville, Daniel Henderson (Pat) of Hagerstown, Van Allen Henderson (Patricia) of Frederick, Richard Henderson (Bonnie) of Petersville, Hilda Smith of Berlin, NJ. and Virginia King; and his aunts, Virginia Simms and Roxie Weedon. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
