He was predeceased by: his parents, Clara Atkinson and Lloyd Atkinson; his wife Joan Atkinson; his daughter Terri Atkinson; his sisters, Jacqueline McDevitt (Jackie) and Della Jean Keefer; his mother-in-law Mildred Howard; and his sister-in-law Peggy Anthony (Gene).
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Deborah Suzanne and Raymond Garret Jr.; his children, Deborah Hennessey (Stephen Sr.) of Brooklyn Park and Raymond Atkinson Jr. (Gwen) of Severna Park; his grandchildren, Amy Hennessey (Matthew Gross) of Catonsville, Stephen Hennessey Jr. (Dina) of Eldersburg, Terri Hennessey (Charles Fretwell) of Brooklyn Park and Grace Atkinson of Severna Park; his great grandchildren, Kaia, Dylan, Mira Gross, Milada and Ruslana Hennessey; his sister Audrey Micciche; and his brother-in-law William Howard (Janice). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
