He was predeceased by: his parents, Eddie Louis Gilchrist and Barbara Jean Gilchrist. He is survived by: his son Warren Louis Gilchrist Jr. (Shanna); his grandson Kyle Warren Gilchrist; his sisters, Alma Laverne Gilchrist Brannum and Angelita Saunders (Candy); his nephews, James Brannum Jr. (Samedra), Miguel Morton and Se'Quann Jordan; his niece Mone Morton; and his great-nieces, Jazmin Tanner and Kennedy Brannum.
He supported Central Union Mission, Columbia Lighthouse of The Blind, The American Diabetes Association, The Lupus Foundation of America, and The Purple Heart Foundation.
