She was predeceased by: her parents, Ardell Taylor and Mary Harrington Taylor; her children, Alexander Ross and Lorraine Ross; and her siblings, Delama Taylor, Clinton Taylor, Shirley Mayberry, Annie Coffield, James "Fatdaddy" Taylor, Johnnie Ray Mobley, Odell Taylor and Charlie Manning Moore.
She is survived by: her children, Diane Ross Thomas, Glenn Ross, Mona Stevens, Patricia Stevens-Ramdass, Michelle Thigpen and Eric Ross; her sister Mary Elizabeth "Sis" Taylor; and also Elizabeth Bright. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
