She was predeceased by: her parents, Haywood Smith and Retha Whitley Smith; her husband Edward Foye; her daughter Carol Foye; and her siblings, Hayward Smith, Jr., Linwood Smith, Robert Smith, Annie Revels, Cynthia Williams and Peggy Pannell.

She is survived by: her children, Ronnie Foye (Tonie) of Washington, D. C. and Melinda Etheridge (Wendell) of Hughesville, Maryland; her grandson Donte Etheridge of Hughesville, Maryland; her siblings, Cornell Smith of Selma, James Smith of Fayetteville, Larry Smith (Lavern) of Princeton and Linda Jones of Princeton; and her siblings-in-law, Roy Lee Foye of Selma, Robert Lee Foye of Selma, Rudy Lee Foye of Selma, Alice F. Minter of Bowie and Ophelia T. Armstrong of Greensboro. She is also survived by extended family, nieces, nephews, and friends.
