She was predeceased by: her husband Elbert Yates, Sr.; and her brother George Carpenter, Jr.. She is survived by: her son Rick Yates (Ellen); and her siblings, Grace Hart, Ann Hawkins (James) and Aaron Carpenter. She is also survived by three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, three great-great grand children and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
