She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Young and Cora Young (Verdier). She is survived by: her husband Woodrow Matthews; her son Woodrow Jr. Matthews; her siblings, Amanda, Marjorie, Alfred, Sylvester, Herman, Roselle, Alphonso and Alma; her children, Woodene (Verrol), Bobby (Maria), James, Alvin, Angel (Vernon), Jerry (Melina), Steven (Chip) and Jay; her cousins, Charles (Lynwood), William and Alice Eleanor; her great great grandchild Baltimore MD; and her friends, Florence of South Carolina, Gloria-Jean, Kathy, Clyde, Gordonsville, Sharon Tate and Erselle. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 13 greatgrandchildren.
