Jegels; his son John Leonard Sullivan, Jr.; his grandsons, Martin John Sullivan and John Sullivan III; his siblings, Robert, Michael Sullivan (Eloise) of Texas City, Texas, Bernadette Sullivan of LaMarque, Texas, Shelia Shaw (Eddie) of Bonaire, Georgia and Phyllis Buck (Albert) of Houston; and his friend Preston Smith.
