He is survived by: his children, Earnest Smith, Jr. of Brentwood, MD, Vernell Smith of Washington, DC, Evelyn Stokes and Patricia Murphy; and his siblings, Rudolph Smith of Greenville, NC, Frank Smith of Temple Hill, MD, James Smith of Tarboro, NC, Lester G. Smith of Richmond, VA, Lillie Mae Dickens of Pinetops, NC, JoAnn Albert of Stamford, CT, Mabel Smith of Washington, DC and Mattie Smith of Alexandria. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, one great grandchild and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
