He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger Towers Hyde and Marjorie Alice Cross Hyde; his wife Doris Ann Hyde; and his brother Roger Hyde. He is survived by: his siblings, Lorraine Whittington (Tony), Robert Hyde (Beverly), Janice Catterton (Donald), Erma Catterton (Bobby) and Peggy Lloyd (Kenny). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
