She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Ervin Thornton, Sr. and Nancy Louise Thornton (Gravenor); her husband Owen "Dewey" Tarbox; and her brother Howard E. Thornton, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Bernie Tarbox (Debbie), Matthew Tarbox (Karee) and Valerie Pulliam (Steven); and her brother John E. Thornton. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
