She was predeceased by: her father James Porter; her husband Alfred R. Alexander; and her close friend Carol Hammer. She is survived by: her mother Anna May Black (Bowser); her daughters, Edith Lynn Dove (Joseph) and Beth Anne Chavez (Hugo); her grandchildren, Megan Mazer (Sean), Joey Dove and Paul Chavez; and also, Terry, Micki and Michael. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
