He is survived by: his wife Susan "Sue" Pirner; his daughters, Amanda Pirner and Crystal Pirner; his granddaughters, Alexandra and Anna Martin; and his siblings, Mary Jane Nelsen, Michael Pirner, Anita Jones, Hedy DeCampo and Andrea Kearney. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
