He is survived by: his parents, Woodrow Wilson Townshend and Catherine Virginia Bowdish Townshend; his wife Adonah Griffin Townshend; his daughters, Dawn Marie Davis (James) and Susan Grubaugh (David); his siblings, Kitty, Leah and Buz; and his grandchildren, Caitlyn, Jordan and Sean.
