He was predeceased by: his parents, John G. Knott and Beulah Margaret Knott Austin; and his brothers, John "Skip" Knott, George "Frank" Knott and William.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Knott; his children, Missy Martin and Paul "Joey" Knott; his sister Mary Kephart; and his grandchildren, Troy, Travis and Trever "Autumn" Martin.
