He is survived by: his sister Evelyn Chittams; his wife Agnes Chittams; his sons, James L. Chittams (Sharon), William E. Chittams (Ronae) and Robert E. Chittams (Verna); and his grandchildren, Sheila M. Chittams, Paula Clark, Kisha Morgan, Brandon Chittams (Thaddeneia), Darnashia Borders, Anika Borders-Wright (Tony), Kristina Chittams, Robert E. Chittams Jr. (Abijah) and Nicole Chittams (Nakita). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great grandchildren, great nieces and nephews.
In his leadership role, he served in the Bowie Community and on fundraisers and charity events teams.
