In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to either the American Heart Association or St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3300 Moreland Place, Bowie, MD 20715.

“My deepest sympathy to all the family. I enjoyed being "facing-desk" officemates with Barbara many years ago, enjoying each other's company, and with an unexpected bond in our daughters' friendship. We joked about loving the Agency cafeteria's eggplant parmesan and one day Barbara walked in and was thrilled to tell me she found a recipe just like it! I still have that recipe. I recall Barbara and Richard together in the halls. Now united forever, in love.”
