He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Stanek and Evelyn Stanek; and his siblings, Sharon Schutz and Paul E. Stanek Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Margee; his children, Sharon Leyden (Robert) and David A. Stanek Jr. (Annette); his grandchildren, Eric Leyden (Sarah) and Brittany David (Justin); and his great grandchildren, Kinsley Marie David and Landon Allen David.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake.
