Classey Mae Groce Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Classey Mae Groce in Bowie, Maryland, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 25, 2024 at the age of 79. In the sacred silence of farewell, Classey Mae is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Classey Mae's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Groce and Nell Groce; and her siblings, Rev Leroy Groce of Canton, OH, Lillian Smith of Fayetteville, NC, Pauline Edwards of Canton, OH, Ella Mae Shoulders of Chattanooga, TN, Myrtle Lee Dixon of Canton, OH and Ronald Groce of Canton, OH.
She is survived by: her niece Angie Lee Dixon; and her brothers, Paul Groce, Jr., Charles Groce (Gloria) and Donald Groce (Johnnie). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Calendar Mt. Calvary 2nd Missionary Baptist Church (1000 3rd St NE, Canton, OH 44704). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
