He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Polangin and Nelli Polangin. He is survived by: his sons, Brian Scott Polangin and Jeffrey Mark Polangin; his wife Diane Marie Chanaka (Egan); his sister Rochelle Greenfield; his stepdaughters, Dawn Denbow and Pauline Markward; his grandsons, Donn Moorman (Taryn), Clayton Denbow (Shelby), Jonathan Drews and Michael Drews; and his great grandchildren, Alexander Moorman, Ellie Moorman, Maximus Moorman and Astrid Denbow.
