It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Owens Sr. (Boonsboro, Maryland), born in Hagerstown, Maryland, who passed away on December 6, 2019, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles William Owens, Jr. and Maxine E. Owens (Frush); his siblings, Kenneth E. Owens and Marion J. Owens; his granddaughter Ashley N. Throckmorton; and his stepson Curtis Long.
He is survived by: his wife Ann P. Owens (Williams); his children, William C. "Billy" Owens, Jr. (Martha) of Belcamp, MD, Frank L. Owens of Stevenson, AL, Cheryl J. "Sissy" Owens of Hagerstown, Bonnie A. Saunders (Daniel) of Hagerstown and Mistyann M. Owens of Boonsboro; and his sister Joann McLucas of Hagerstown. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to establish a memorial fund in his honor.
