Hawkins Sr. of Boonsboro, Maryland, born in Winchester, Virginia, who passed away on January 31, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Pershing Hawkins and Gertrude Christina; his parents-in-law, Charles Kauffman, Sr. and Mae Kauffman; his sister-in-law Patricia Hawkins; and his nephew Mark Needy.
He is survived by: his wife O. Christine Hawkins (Kauffman) of Boonsboro, Maryland.; his children, Richard (Hawkins, Jr.) and Andrea "Annie" Spencer (Jeff); his siblings, Ronald Hawkins (Cynthia) and Thomas Hawkins; his siblings-in-law, Skip, Cindy Kauffman, Ed, Lora Budnick, Wayne and Kim Needy; his nieces and nephews, Leslie Pauling, Eric Hawkins, Nathan Needy, Amanda McElhannon and Kate Piper; his grandchildren, Patricia Muller (Clayton), Dalton Hawkins, Elizabeth Hawkins, Trenten Spencer and Kylie Spencer; and his great grandchildren, Christine Muller and Robert Muller.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made, in his name, to the Humane Society of Washington County or Hospice of Washington County.
