He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen J. and Mary D. Beard (Eyler); and his siblings, John D. Beard of Hagerstown, MD., Helen E. Deavers, Betty J. Pashen, Leota M. Mullendore (Bunk), William A. (Jim), Robert Dale, Donald E., Charles E. and Edwin L. Beard.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley A. Beard (Robinson); his son L. Neal Beard, Jr.; his sister Joyce D. Miner (Happ); and also, Shawn, Denny Palmer and Betty Jones.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the foundation established by Shirley and Neal to benefit local pets and no kill animal shelters.
