With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Betty Jean (Mom-Mom) Carrick of Boonsboro, Maryland, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 11, 2025 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Lester J. Carrick; her parents, Myron M. Michael and Elizabeth C. Michael (Zimmerman); and her sister Myrna Hall Cadwallader. She is survived by: her daughters, Leslie Norris (John) of Sharpsburg, MD, Jane M. Deavers (Bill Wilson) of Maugansville, MD and Cynthia L. Carrick of Smithsburg, MD; her grandchildren, Katherine Woodruff (Dan), Michael Norris (Lindsay), Matthew Alsop, Amanda Deavers and Brittany Deavers (Stephen); her great grandchildren, Brody and Carter; her cousin Myralee Wiles; and also, Ray Deavers, Lauryn, Winter, Kennedy and Sidney. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home (7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, MD 21713). A celebration of life was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
