We are sad to announce that on July 5, 2024, at the age of 77, Robert Wayne Braithwaite of Bloomington, Maryland, born in Keyser, West Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse James and Mary Braithwaite (Whitacre); his daughter Pam Costilow (Scott); his parents-in-law, Bud and Loretta Saville; and his brother-in-law Doug Smith.

He is survived by: his wife Glenda L. Braithwaite (Saville); his siblings, Roger Braithwaite of Barton, MD, Norman Braithwaite of Barton, MD, Steve Braithwaite (Lisa) of Piedmont, WV, Delores Bean (Tom) of New Creek, WV, Mary Lou Smith of Keyser, Donna Clark of Piedmont and Bonnie Shuck (Ed) of LaVale, MD; and his cousins, Bill, Dale and Paul Braithwaite. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.

The family requests that memorial contributions be directed to Hospice of Garrett County, P.O. Box 271 Oakland, MD 21550. Keep Bob's legacy alive by donating to a charity in need.

“Bob was a very dear friend to me and like a grandfather to Jessica and James my children . God put him and Glenda in my life when I needed them most. I will never be able to thank him enough for all he did for my children and me over the years . He was just starting to get to know Jessica's children Everson and Maddox .
