He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Benson and Helen Benson (Johnson); his brother Ronnie Benson; his sister-in-law Debbie Benson; and his grandson Collin Hunter Benson.
He is survived by: his wife Beverly J. Benson of Bishopville; his sister June A. Hudson (Ches) of Bishopville; his son Duain Benson (Carol) of Manassas, VA; his grandchildren, Ashley, Catherine and Elizabeth; his niece Heather Davis; and his nephew Michael Benson. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
