The memory of Gloria J. Blake of Bishopville, Maryland, who passed away on April 11, 2025 at the age of 87, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parent Magellan; her husband Morris "Maurice" Blake; her siblings, Lois Waples, Crystal Banks, Vernell Terry and Artice Worthington; and her son-in-law Anthony Davis.
She is survived by: her children, Marsheila Davis and Maurice Blake (Yolanda); her siblings, Dorothy Smallwood, Barbara Plumber and James Saunders (Vicky); her goddaughters, Henrietta Lankford, LaToya Johnson and Paige Johnson; and her grandchildren, Kamesha Johnson (John), Jentery Jones, LaToya Thomas (Jeremy), Janiah Somerville (Christopher) and Chelsea Blake. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, in-laws, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Calvary Pentecostal Church (13325 Worcester Hwy, Bishopville, MD 21813). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at the New Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery (10203 Germantown Rd, Berlin, MD 21811).
