He is survived by: his wife Jennie Davis; his children, Thornton Pitts (Penelope) of Frankford, Beatrice Nowell (Bernard) of Dover and Charles Pitts (Linda) of Wilmington, Delaware; and his siblings, Vincent Davis (Nancy) of Frankford, John Pitts Monroe (Linda) of Christiana, Jeffrey Taylor (Jeanette) of Georgetown, Delaware, Janet Johnson, Deborah Taylor and Pamela Davis. He is also survived by in-laws, extended family, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
