She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbur Miller and Carrie Miller (Mills); and her husband Robert Chester DeShong. She is survived by: her brother Aris Thourl "Bud" Miller; her daughter Sharon Swain (DeShong); her son-in-law Steve Swain; her grandsons, Mark Anthony Swain and Michael Robert Swain; and her great grandchildren, Melody Swain, Alicyn Swain (Ali) and Bryce Swain.
