Gwendolyn J. Vining Markley Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gwendolyn J. Vining Markley of Big Pool, Maryland, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 12, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George D. White Sr. and Ilga Patterson (White); her husband Ivan Clare "Audie" Markley; her sons, Richard Franklin Vining, Jr. and Thomas R. Reeves; and her brother G. David White.
She is survived by: her children, Gregory A. Vining, Kimberly A. Bishop, Michelle R. Raichel, Diana M. Vining, Tana L. Breeden and Kristopher L. Reeves; and her sister Joyce A. McCoy. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home (1331 Eastern Blvd N, Hagerstown, MD 21742). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of Washington County, 13011 Maugansville Rd., Hagerstown, MD 21740.
