He was predeceased by: his parents, Marshall Paul Jones, Sr. and Virginia Spitler Jones of Murray, Kentucky.. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Boyd Jones; his sons, Jordan Boyd Jones (Ashley), Grant Chaffin Jones (Sydney) and William Turner Jones (Mallory); his granddaughters, Sophie Elizabeth Jones and Madeline Blake Jones; his father-in-law Morrell Vinson Boyd; and his brothers, Marshall Paul Jones, Jr. (Clay Fulghum) and Tarpley Brooks Jones, Sr. (Beverly).
