It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Stanley Friauf in Bethesda, Maryland, born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 5, 2021, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Byron and Helen Friauf.

While at NIH, he taught two courses on electronic instrumentation in the Foundation for Advanced Education in the Sciences program.
