It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Virginia Donohoe McHugh of Bethesda, Maryland, who passed away on February 2, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband John Joseph McHugh; her parents, Virginia Barry Donohoe and James Aloysius Donohoe, Jr.; and her brothers, James Aloysius Donohoe III (Mary Jo) and Robert Barry Donohoe, Sr. (Sharon).

She is survived by: her daughter Jean Donohoe McHugh (Charlie Braico); her grandsons, John McHugh "Mac" Keogh and Robert Emmet Keogh; her siblings, D. Patrick Donohoe and Rosemary Donohoe Collopy (Dan); and her grandsons, Mac and Emmet.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Father McKenna Center or The DC Chapter of the Christ Child Society.

“Dear Jean and family, I am so sorry for your loss. Ginny was truly a wonderful, kind and caring person. She had many roles: teacher, realtor, and great friend. My mother worked with her at St. Bartholomew's and followed her to Long and Foster when she was the manager. I got to know the family as well. She visited mom when she was sick and brought John and Jean to her birthday parties. She was a great friend and will truly be missed. With deepest sympathy and love, Phyllis Quinn”
