We are sad to announce that on May 15, 2024, at the age of 91, Rebecca Vekshteyn of Bethesda, Maryland passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the vast expanse of eternity, may Rebecca find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may her legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.

She was predeceased by: her husband Zakhar Komarnitsky; and her brother-in-law Mikhail Risman. She is survived by: her sons, Greg Vekstein and Eric Vekstein (Sonya); her sister Nella Risman; and her niece Lena Katz (Vladimir Risman). She is also survived by six loving grandchildren; and three adoring great grandchildren.
